The Resident Specialist manages and coordinates people as well as available resources to provide a seamless community to residents, prospective residents, visitors and staff.  The resident specialist understands the busy nature of the community and is willing to assist at a moment’s notice.

Resident Specialist Duties:

  • Answer incoming phone calls/emails/text messages and handle accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with residents, future residents, visitors, vendors and team members while presenting a positive, professional image
  • Provide outstanding customer service to residents and future residents
  • Investigate complaints, disturbances, and violations and resolve problems following management rules and regulations
  • Coordinate and perform all move out inspections at month end
  • Report liability and community incidents
  • Take pride in the apartment community, visually inspect and address areas of concern, keep community clean and report service needs to maintenance
  • Maintain an organized environment even during busy times
  • Willing to work flexible schedule including some weekends
  • Work closely with maintenance to monitor and schedule make-readies and other maintenance activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by corporate office

Thing you need:

  • High School Diploma
  • Two or more years of experience in property management or comparable customer service experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with conflict in a professional manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Clean driving record
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including some weekends
  • A sharp, professional appearance
  • Must be able to walk the property which includes climbing stairs
  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, reach, carry supplies and stand for extended periods of time
